All about the exam in a year. The Minister of Education of the Russian Federation spoke out against the "voluntary" exam

The main state exams, which everyone knows under the abbreviation GIA or OGE, are mandatory final tests for graduates of the 9th grade in Russia. Successful completion of the OGE allows you to get a certificate of basic general education, and high scores received for specialized subjects make it possible to move to a specialized high school and become a student of a gymnasium or lyceum. In addition, thanks to the OGE, ninth graders can enter.

The State Final Attestation is a set of final (examination) papers for graduates of educational institutions of the Russian Federation who complete the course of secondary education (grade 9) and basic general education (grade 11).

To date, there are such forms of GIA:

  • USE (Grade 11);
  • OGE (Grade 9);
  • GVE (grades 9 and 11);
  • GIA-4 (grade 4).

USE 2019

The Unified State Exam is obligatory for all graduates who finish the 11th grade and wish to continue their studies at the universities of the Russian Federation. This form of GIA has been held since 2009 and will definitely not be canceled in 2019, which means that all graduates should prepare for passing 5 exams, of which not 2, but already 3 will be mandatory:

  • Russian language;
  • mathematics;
  • story.

The question of the third compulsory subject has not yet been approved, but last year at press conferences at various levels, the opinion was heard more than once - every citizen of Russia should know the history of his country.

The issue of the possibility of supplementing the compulsory subjects of the GIA-11 with a foreign language is also being discussed, but in 2019 graduates do not need to worry about this, since the management will need much more time to implement this idea. And if we recall the numerous scandals that thundered in 2018, it is unlikely that the exam, the format of which needs to be improved, would be required to take all 11th graders already today.

Of the nearest most likely innovations, it is worth noting:

  • introduction of the USE in Chinese;
  • cross-checking of works by experts from other regions;
  • compulsory USE for college graduates.

OGE 2019

Graduates of the 9th grade in 2019 will take the OGE, which includes 5 subjects, 2 of which (mathematics and Russian) will be mandatory GIA exams. This means that not two at least one of them, the ninth grader will not receive a certificate.

The opinion is increasingly heard in the Ministry of Education and Science that history and English should fill up the compulsory subjects in the shortest possible time, but most likely this will not happen at GIA-9 in the 2018-2019 academic year.

As before, 9th graders will take exams at their native schools. But, neither teachers nor students will be able to find out exactly which tasks from the open bank will be offered at the GIA until the solemn printing of the envelope.

GVE 2019

GVE is a special somewhat simplified form of the GIA, which in 2019 will be taken by certain groups of graduates in grades 9 and 11:

  • having relevant medical indications (disability);
  • boarding school graduates;
  • students in prisons.

This year, college graduates also take the final exam instead of the Unified State Examination, but they want to cancel this norm, forcing everyone to enter the country's universities on the same terms - through passing the Unified State Exam.

In the GVE format, only two main exams are taken - Russian and mathematics. The main feature of the certification format is the ability of the student to choose the most optimal option for him to pass the GIA in the Russian language, having already familiarized himself with the topics of the essay and the material proposed for writing the presentation. The math ticket includes 10 multi-level tasks.

Evaluated by GVE on a 5-point system.

GIA-4

For the first time, the GIA for graduates of the 4th grade was tested in 2016, and already in the 2017-2018 academic year, tests became mandatory for all educational institutions in Russia. Speaking about the GIA-4 in 2019, parents are most often interested in how many subjects to take at the end of grade 4 for kids, and in what format their first exams will be held.

You should not worry - everything should be organized in the most gentle environment for the child's psyche, namely: a native class, a beloved teacher nearby, a regular lesson lasting 45 minutes. In fact, the exam for children will be no different from the average test.

In terms of the number of subjects at GIA-4, 2019 will not bring significant changes. Children have to pass three disciplines:

  • mathematics;
  • Russian language;
  • the world.

You can find all the main regulatory documents of the GIA, as well as download codifiers, specifications and demo versions for preparation, on the FIPI portal at fipi.ru.

By subscribing to our groups in social networks or to the mailing list of news from our website, you will be among the first to learn the latest news about this year's innovations in individual subjects, as well as the dates of the OGE and the USE in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Electives at GIA 2019

Ninth-graders and their parents are always very worried about the question: how many subjects to take at the end of the 9th grade?

In total, ninth grade students will have to take 4 subjects, 2 of which are compulsory exams.

And three exams are given for the choice of a graduate from the list of optional subjects:

  • physics;
  • chemistry;
  • biology;
  • geography;
  • story;
  • social science;
  • literature;
  • foreign language;
  • Informatics.

Knowing which exams to take, the student can prepare well in advance by regularly solving standard exam options that can be found on the official website for preparing for the GIA (OGE) - FIPI, where you can thoroughly prepare for final tests. Answers to newly emerging questions from students and parents about the GIA 2019 will also be found on this site.

How does the GIA affect the grade in the certificate?

Not so long ago, an innovation was introduced regarding the influence of the OGE mark on the student's assessment score. Recall that not only marks for compulsory disciplines have such power, but also for those that were taken by the student by choice.

In addition, in order to pass to specialized classes, each subject must be passed for the points recommended by Rosobrnadzor. To date, these recommendations look like this:

Item profile class Number of points
Russian language linguistic class 31 points out of 39
Mathematics physics and mathematics class 19 points out of 32
Physics physics and mathematics class 30 points out of 40
Chemistry chemical 23 points out of 34
Biology biological 33 out of 46
Geography special class or college preparing bachelors of tourism 24 points or more out of 32
Social science legal classes 30 points out of 39
Story Historical 32 points out of 34
Computer science ICT class 15 points out of 22
Literature linguistic class it is recommended to score from 19 points and above out of 29
Foreign languages linguistic class 56 points out of 70

Exam Schedule

The timing and dates of the final examination for ninth-graders will be known only at the beginning of the next academic year. But in order to have an idea of the approximate dates, you can familiarize yourself with the GIA (OGE) schedule in 2018.

early period

Reserve days

Students who have not passed the GIA or who have received unsatisfactory results at the GIA in more than two academic subjects, or who have repeatedly received an unsatisfactory result in one or two academic subjects at the GIA in an additional period, are given the right to pass the GIA in the relevant academic subjects no earlier than September 1 of the current year.

General current rules

As before, students who received a “credit” for the December final essay on literature, as well as all those with grades above “2”, are allowed to pass the GIA, except for cases when an unsatisfactory graded subject is submitted for certification itself. These can be both Russian schoolchildren and citizens of other countries who officially wished to fit into our education system, including refugees and migrants, as well as all children who failed exams or did not participate in them for any reason in past years, and not succeeding on appeal.

GIA sessions traditionally begin at the end of May and last almost the entire month of June. For example, in 2018, the OGE was taken from May 26 to June 8 (the main stage, reserve dates are 06/09-29/06), and the Unified State Examination - from May 29 to June 19 (reserve - from June 20 to July 1). Everything could be done ahead of schedule during the second half of March - early May. By the way, with the autumn retakes after the appeals, it has now become easier - you can go not only to compulsory subjects, but also to any other subjects (according to the OGE). Accordingly, in 2019, it is worth waiting for approximately similar terms in all respects.

According to the rules of writing, too, everything is the same. With you - only documents, food and medicines shown by the doctor, if any, and a black pen (pen, capillary or gel). All materials, including reference and drafts, as well as additional sheets of forms, if necessary, are issued on the spot. It is allowed to bring only a ruler for mathematics, for geography - a non-programmable calculator, a protractor and a ruler, for chemistry and physics - the same calculator and a ruler.

In terms of the duration of exams in the oral parts of languages, they shoot back in fifteen minutes, chemistry, biology and Russian are given 3.5 hours each, a foreign language, basic mathematics and geography - three hours, and all other subjects - 3 hours 55 minutes. All tests start at 10 am, but you need to arrive at the place by nine in order to pass the test and get assigned to the offices.

The general principle of grading systems also remains the same - for each subject, it is written what maximum score is set in the context of each task, and what must be done to obtain it. Thus, a pool of primary points is formed for each student, which, according to the scheme established by Rosobrnadzor, is then transferred to a hundred-point system, and in addition, five-point marks transferred to certificates are also set. In general, all the rules, official training collections of tasks in all subjects, methodological requirements, assessment criteria, etc. can be viewed in detail directly on the FIPI website, which develops all this.

And we can only wish all potential applicants and students of the ninth grade successful preparation and high passing results, as well as the achievement of all the goals set in life!

Despite the ambiguous attitude towards mandatory state exams among school graduates and their parents, the abolition of the Unified State Examination in 2019 should definitely not be expected. Judging by the trend that took place in 2017 and 2018, students will have to prepare even better for the final tests and start preparing not at the beginning of the 11th grade, but much earlier.

If in the 2018-2019 academic year you have to finish school and choose a university, we strongly recommend that today you become interested in such questions as:

Required subjects

Although today it is too early to talk about any final decisions regarding the final tests, which should take place in the 2018-2019 academic year, nevertheless, employees of the Ministry of Education and Science are ready to slightly lift the veil of mystery. We managed to find out that in 2019, new compulsory subjects will definitely appear in the Unified State Examination.

Compulsory subjects are Russian language and Mathematics.

History could be added to the compulsory subjects (basic or specialized mathematics and Russian) in 2019. The Ministry of Education and Science focuses on the fact that every citizen should know the history of their country and be able to distinguish historical facts from profanities and fakes, which in recent years have begun to appear more and more often against the backdrop of confrontation between countries in the information field.

As a subject of choice, graduates will be able to choose:

  • social science;
  • physics;
  • chemistry;
  • history;
  • informatics;
  • foreign language;
  • geography;
  • biology;
  • literature.

The list of foreign languages available for delivery will include: English, German, French, Spanish and Chinese.

As before, tests for future applicants will begin at the beginning of winter with the writing of the December essay, which has already become a traditional start of the graduation campaign.

Thus, already today, studying in the 10th grade, future graduates must decide in which direction they would like to continue their education and decide how many and what subjects they need to take for this at the Unified State Examination in 2019.

Innovations and changes in the USE 2019

If you believe the promises of Vasilyeva, then there will be no cardinal changes in the 2018-2019 season. The innovations introduced in 2017 and 2018 have proved to be excellent, and therefore will be preserved in the new exam tickets.

The following important changes are expected:

  1. Compulsory oral part in the Unified State Examination in the Russian language (the exam will be divided into two days).
  2. A new task in the written exam in Russian at number 21, where you need to show knowledge of punctuation. And also the test part will include fewer hints than before. Comments on the topic of the essay will be highly valued (+ additional 5 points).
  3. Development of new KIM in literature, focused on the disclosure of the creative potential of the examinee.
  4. In the Unified State Examination in history, the quote should not contain extra information that is not related to the context, otherwise the answer will not be counted (this applies to task number 21). As for task No. 2, here you will have to fill in the table yourself, and not choose 2 of the 5 answers provided.
  5. Adding the so-called “integrated problems” to the mathematics tickets, for the solution of which students will need to accumulate knowledge from different areas of algebra and geometry.
  6. As for biology, task number 6 will be in the form of a picture, and not in text format.
  7. The Informatics exam will be held only with the use of a PC (without the "paper" part).
  8. The maximum score for social studies has been increased - now it is not 64, but 65.
  9. Chinese language exam with written and oral parts.
  10. Tightening the rules aimed at ensuring the reliability of the result.

It is possible that for schoolchildren who did not take a responsible approach to the study of individual subjects and realized their lack of knowledge, only after moving to the 11th grade, information about how many subjects they have to take on the exam in 2019 will be frightening. But, the purpose of such innovations is to provide competitive universities of the country with students with the necessary amount of knowledge.

For more information about the innovations that are expected in the Unified State Exam, see the interview with Olga Vasilyeva.

USE calendar for 2019

According to the approved schedule of the Unified State Exam, graduates of the 2018-2019 academic year will write the December essay on the following dates:

  • main session - 12/05/18;
  • 1st retake - 02/06/19;
  • 2nd retake - 05/08/19.

The early period will run from 03/20/19 to 04/10/19 according to the established schedule:

The calendar of the main session of the exam in 2019 will be as follows:

In September, graduates will be able to retake only compulsory subjects. The transfer schedule will be as follows:

Minimum and passing scores

Completing the tasks of the exam, the graduate gains test scores, which are converted into final results on a certain scale. Whether there will be changes in the 2019 table is not yet known. But, with a high degree of probability, it can be argued that the system of the minimum and passing score will remain.

  • Minimum score- a necessary condition for obtaining a document on education. It is not difficult to score a minimum score in subjects. To do this, it is enough to master the theory and practice at a basic level.
  • Passing score- a necessary condition for entry into the university chosen by the graduate. Information about passing scores for a particular specialty at the university of interest should be sought on the official website of the educational institution.

Retake

One of the good news is the fact that in 2019 it will be possible to retake not only compulsory subjects, but also any USE exam. But, only one!

For graduates of previous years who received an unsatisfactory result, as well as for those who “failed” more than 1 subject or were convicted of violating discipline, there will be no retakes.

If the graduate could not appear on the day of the test for a good reason (documented), then he will receive 2 more attempts.

  • on the reserve day of the session;
  • during the fall session.

Since the USE certificate remains valid for 4 years, the autumn retake opens up the prospect of entering a university next year, or even in 2019-2020, to faculties with a shortage of students.

Preparation

Reading our article today, you thought in time about preparing for the final tests that await you in the 11th grade.

Experienced teachers, who have years of effective preparation of graduates for the Unified State Exam, recommend going to the intended goal according to the following algorithm:

  1. Determine which faculty you would like to enter.
  2. Find out what compulsory subjects (USE certificates) the university requires from applicants in 2019.
  3. Get acquainted with what changes are expected in 2019 in the main subjects of the Unified State Examination (the official website of the FIPI will help with this).
  4. Step by step repeat all the topics of the school course in subjects, practicing the solution of trial tickets in 2018 and 2019.
  5. Attend exam preparation courses or contact a tutor.

Unfortunately, practice shows that just a good knowledge of the subject is not enough for the successful passing of the exam. It takes practice to solve tasks of a certain type. Gaining experience in solving USE tickets while preparing for exams, students form a strategy for completing tasks and gain self-confidence, which is an indispensable assistant in achieving success.

Subscribe to our updates or join our groups on social networks and you will not miss important changes and the latest news about what to expect for 11th grade students at the USE in 2019.

We also offer to watch a video of the All-Russian meeting of the head of Rosobrnadzor with parents, at which issues important for future graduates were raised.

All teachers, graduates and, of course, parents are concerned about one question - do FIPI plan to introduce another innovation in the Unified State Exam and what to prepare for 11th grade students who graduate in 2019.

The topic of the Unified State Exam is incredibly relevant. The attitude towards the final certification on the part of children and parents is ambiguous, because it is often quite difficult to get a high score in the subjects necessary for admission. And the first step in the effective training algorithm should be familiarization with the new requirements that will be relevant in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Cancellation of the exam

Since the final certification became mandatory for all graduates, news periodically appears that the Unified State Examination may be cancelled. But, despite all the efforts of initiative groups actively promoting the idea of canceling exams, this will definitely not happen in 2019.

The experience of reducing the number of compulsory subjects at the OGE has shown that the level of knowledge of ninth-graders in disciplines that are not included in the list of subjects taken for the exam has fallen rapidly. As a result, the number of compulsory subjects has been returned and increased every year, thus motivating students to take the learning process more seriously.

Naturally, the government, Rosobrnadzor and FIPI will not go for such experiments with 11th graders and the Unified State Examination in 2019, despite a number of resonant scandals that many graduates and teachers remember the last 2018-2019 academic year.

Number of items in 2019

Talk about the need to increase the number of compulsory subjects has been haunting graduates for more than a year. If in 2018 only the Russian language and mathematics were mandatory, then already in 2019, those taking the exam could urgently need to improve history and English, although such innovations were again postponed, at least until the next 2020.

The main subjects are still Mathematics and the Russian language.

Among elective subjects, the main innovation could be the holding of a pilot USE in the Chinese language. It was this subject that many 11th graders could give preference to in the 2018-2019 academic year. Due to the fact that the USE could be held in the format of a trial project, they could count on a softer assessment system than in exams in other foreign languages.

It is worth noting that the USE assessment system in English could also be revised, because it was this subject that caused the maximum number of problems and negative feedback from graduates in 2018.

Changes in KIMs

In the process of reforming the knowledge quality control system, by 2018, almost all KIMs in compulsory and optional subjects were brought to the desired form at FIPI. On the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel, Count Rosbornadzor Sergey Kravtsov assured everyone that there were no plans to make any significant changes to the structure of KIMs in 2019.

At the same time, it was previously said that already in 2019, all graduates will take certification in computer science exclusively in front of a computer monitor, and it is not yet known whether this new decision will affect the content of tasks in the direction of reducing theoretical questions and increasing the volume of practical tasks.

  • mathematics (both levels);
  • physics;
  • chemistry;
  • geography;
  • Informatics.

In tickets for other disciplines, innovations developed taking into account the analysis of the Unified State Examination in 2018 will be insignificant.

Russian language

In 2019, students will have to complete 1 more building in the 3.5 hours allotted for work. The new KIMs will have 27 of them (instead of 26 in 2018). Task No. 21 for punctuation analysis of the text in oral form will be new for students.

Among other innovations, it is worth noting the following:

  • slightly expanded the range of tested skills and abilities of students;
  • the format of tasks No. 2,9,10,11 and 12 has been changed;
  • redistributed the level of difficulty of tasks;
  • the wording and criteria for evaluating the new 27 task (with a detailed answer) have been clarified.

Foreign languages

The structure and content of KIMs remained the same, but there are minor changes in the written part. In task "40" of the "Letter" block, the very wording of the question was changed, and the criteria for evaluating the answer were also revised.

Story

And in task No. 2, you must independently fill out the specified table instead of choosing 2 answers out of 5, as it was before.

Social science

In KIMs 2019, changes will affect such tasks No. 25, 28 and 29, for which a new, more detailed wording and a number of new assessment criteria will be proposed.

The maximum primary score will also increase. In 2019, when doing work in social studies, a graduate will be able to score 65 primary points, since when evaluating task 25, now it will be possible to get not 3 but 4 points.

Biology

The main innovation of the subject is the reduction of the maximum primary score from 59 (in 2018) to 58 (in 2019), which was the result of a change in the 2nd line task model. If earlier the examinee was offered a multiple-choice task, estimated at a maximum of 2 points, now it will be work with a table, for which it will be possible to get 1 primary test score.

Task number 6 will be presented not in text format, but in the form of a picture.

When preparing for other subjects, collections of tests, trial tasks and codifiers of the last season, which can be found and downloaded on the official FIPI website (fipi.ru), will be quite relevant.

Expected innovations

Although innovations are not expected in the main subjects, there will still be something new in the USE 2019.

News #1

Rosobrnadzor plans to radically change the format for checking examination papers by integrating a cross system. This means that the work of students will be checked by experts from a completely different region of the Russian Federation. At the same time, teachers will not even know in which region, in which locality, and even more so, which educational institution this work was written. Such a decision should completely eliminate the possibility of falsifying the results.

News #2

In the near future, the Unified State Examination will also become mandatory for graduates of secondary vocational education (colleges)!

For many years, students who did not master the curriculum very well were given the opportunity to bypass the USE by entering college after the 9th grade and already at the end of their studies at the SVE, entering the 2nd year of the university without passing the unified exam. Rosobrnadzor considered this state of affairs unfair and decided that the USE should become mandatory for all applicants, regardless of which educational institution they graduated from. So, it is quite likely that already in 2019, graduates of secondary vocational education will be offered to take mandatory exams in the Russian language and mathematics to continue their studies at the university.

News #3

Refinement of assignments in a foreign language. Although FIPI assures that all tickets are drawn up according to the subject study program, many schoolchildren, having a good grade in English, could not cope with the task. So, in 2018, many media outlets talked about the scandal that erupted due to the fact that thousands of graduates of Tula schools received “0 points” for an essay in a foreign language.

News #4

USE for teachers of Moscow schools!

Do you think that any teacher can easily cope with the tasks of the exam? But in vain. Many teachers who have been teaching the subject to children for years are not able to show a level above the average. And this is a fact. That is why Isaac Kalina believes that every teacher who wants to work in a Moscow school must confirm his level by passing the Unified State Examination with at least a grade of "4".

News #5

Rosobrnadzor plans to eliminate the human factor by completely switching to electronic verification of the work of the Unified State Exam and the Unified State Examination. Of course, this innovation will require serious preparation, which is simply unrealistic to implement by the beginning of the USE in 2019. But, by 2030, instead of experts checking essays, essays and solving complex problems, there will be a complex intellectual program, the development of which is already underway.

According to the definition of FIPI USE - Unified State Exam- this is a form of state final certification (GIA) for educational programs of secondary general education.

The USE completes the study of general education programs in high school and serves to assess the student's mastery of the program in the main subjects - the Russian language and mathematics.

The exam is carried out using complex tasks - control measuring materials (KIM) and special forms for filling out answers (tests).

Rules for the exam

According to the official website of the FIPI, the Unified State Exam is taken according to one standard in all schools of the Russian Federation. Here are the rules:

  • The USE is conducted in writing in Russian (with the exception of the USE in foreign languages).
  • The USE is organized and conducted by the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) together with the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
  • The USE is held in 14 general education subjects:
  • Russian language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Story
  • Social science
  • Computer science and information and communication technologies (ICT)
  • Biology
  • Geography
  • English language
  • German
  • French
  • Spanish
  • Literature

To obtain a certificate, graduates of the current year take compulsory subjects - Russian language and mathematics. Participants take other USE subjects on a voluntary basis.

You can turn in any number of items from the list.

Who can take the exam

In order to be admitted to the exam, you need the following:

  • not have academic debts, including for the final essay (statement);
  • have final annual grades of at least "3" in all subjects. The final marks are determined as the arithmetic mean of the graduate's annual grades for grades X and XI and are entered in the certificate as integers in accordance with the rules of mathematical rounding.

The following categories of citizens are also eligible to take the exam:

  • graduates of previous years (persons who have mastered the educational programs of secondary general education in previous years and have a document of education confirming the receipt of secondary general education (or educational programs of secondary (complete) general education - for persons who have received a document of education confirming the receipt of secondary (complete) ) general education, until September 1, 2013);
  • students in educational programs of secondary vocational education;
  • students who receive secondary general education in foreign educational organizations, including if they have valid USE results from previous years.

Features of the exam in 2019

Despite rumors about a mandatory history exam in 2019, the compulsory subjects for which you need to pass the USE have remained the same: this is the Russian language and the “basic” or “profile” level of mathematics.

All other subjects are taken by graduates on request. These are the subjects that are required for admission to the university.

To pass the Unified State Exam, it is mandatory to write an application and submit it before February 1, 2019. The early period for passing the exam will be from March 20 to April 10, 2019, and then in the main period - from May 27 to July 1.

I have already published information about what mistakes graduates most often made in various subjects in 2019. Based on this, you can understand which “paragraphs” you need to pay the most attention to when preparing for the exam.

USE schedule in 2019

The Ministry of Education approved the passing of the Unified State Examination in 2019 in three stages: early, basic and additional. We publish the USE schedule for 2019 in tables. Each period has its own table. In addition to the main days, reserve days are also marked here. They are intended for those who missed the main deadlines due to illness or other good reason, including if the dates of elective exams coincide.

The official USE schedule for 2019 became known on December 17, 2019. The USE schedule for 2019 is published on the official USE portal www.ege.edu.ru
