  • baking powder for dough – 2.5 teaspoons (slaked soda – 2 teaspoons);
  • juice of one orange (milk) – 80 milliliters;
  • orange zest - 1 teaspoon (optional).

Protein-butter cream:
  • butter – 200 grams;
  • sugar – 200 grams;
  • vanilla sugar – 1 teaspoon (vanillin – 0.25 teaspoon);

  1. First, let's prepare a sponge cake or cake, as it's better to call it. Beat three eggs, no matter what temperature, until white foam. Gradually add sugar and beat for about five minutes. Then you can add vegetable oil, stirring at low speed. Pour in yogurt and orange juice, adding zest at the end.

2. Sift flour with baking powder, add salt. Mix with a simple whisk.

3. Add the walnuts last and mix gently.

4. I take a mold of 16 centimeters, if I take 18 or 20, then the cake will just turn out a little lower. I covered the bottom with parchment and enlarged the sides too, using the same baking paper. Pour the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until dry on a wooden stick, about 50-60 minutes.
