Place the soft butter along with condensed milk in a tall bowl and beat until it reaches the consistency of sour cream.

Baking method:

Pour 1-2 tablespoons of dough onto the bottom surface. The exact amount is determined by experiment. If you pour a lot, the dough will run slightly over the edges, and you can carefully remove it with a knife. If you pour too little, the waffle will not fill the entire area of ​​the waffle iron. It's not scary, it'll just be a small tube.

So, pour the dough, close the waffle iron and press it by the handles.

Carefully! – at this moment hot steam flies out of the waffle iron, so put an oven mitt on your hand.

We hold it a little, and then you can let it go and let it bake. One waffle is baked from 20-30 seconds to 1.5-3 minutes, depending on the power and settings of your waffle iron. To find out if it’s ready, open the waffle iron slightly and look in... It’s still pale, which means you need to hold it for a couple more minutes.

Each waffle iron takes a little getting used to, so usually the first waffles turn out to be test ones.

As soon as our waffle is ready, we act quickly, since ready-made waffles quickly harden and become brittle. Use a knife or spatula to pry up the waffle, transfer it from the waffle iron to a board or plate and quickly, while still soft, roll it into a tube.

  • Sour cream - 75 g;
  • Egg - 1 pc.;
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon;
  • Spices to taste;
  • Flour - 20 g;
  • Starch - 10 g.

  • In order to prepare the dough for crispy waffles, we need to melt the butter. This can be done in the microwave or on the stove. I prefer to melt the butter in the microwave, but you need to do it carefully, because... the oil should not boil. You shouldn’t set the timer for a minute and leave the microwave, but it’s better to heat it for 10-20 seconds and check for readiness. Set the melted butter aside for now and let’s prepare the rest of the ingredients.
  • Combine eggs and sugar in a bowl and beat this mixture a little with a whisk. You don’t need to mix for a long time, just enough to get a homogeneous mass. Next, add the slightly cooled butter and whisk everything until the sugar is completely dissolved. Sift flour into the resulting mass and knead the dough.

  • The mass turns out to be quite thick, similar to condensed milk. Set the finished dough aside for now.

  • While the dough is “resting”, we will prepare the waffle iron in which we will bake delicious, crispy waffles. I use an electric waffle iron, so I’ll tell you how to prepare and bake waffles in it.   • You can periodically open the waffle iron and check the degree of doneness (just be careful, the waffle iron can emit very hot steam) . Some electric waffle irons have the ability to select power. I prefer to bake at medium power, in my opinion, it’s easier to control the degree of frying.

  • Remove the finished waffle from the waffle iron using a spatula. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find an electric waffle iron in which the waffle is fried evenly; as a rule, the result is as in the photo below. But this does not affect the taste and crispness of the waffles.

  • If you do not plan to roll the waffle, for example, into a tube, then leave it on the plate and proceed to baking the next one.

  • And if you want to give the finished waffle some shape, then you need to do this immediately after removing it from the waffle iron. The waffles simply instantly become brittle and brittle. Just please be careful, the waffles are very hot! Therefore, it is better to “arm yourself” with clean gloves and work with waffles only in them.

  • Ready waffles cool quickly enough, so when you finish baking the last waffle, the rest will already be ready for your tea party.
